The Bicycle Coalition of Maine stays busy with events all year round to connect with as many pedestrians and people on bikes as possible in a variety of ways. We seek to educate adults and children about bike/ped safety through presentations and courses, host interactive demonstrations that advocate for improvements to bike/ped infrastructure, provide valet bike parking at local events, and organize gatherings and group rides to raise awareness and enthusiasm about our mission.

Club Rides
Maine Cycling Club Beginner Rides
Ride purpose is to introduce riders to safe group riding on the roads. Several club members participate to give instructions and guidance. Ride is approximately 45-60 minutes in length with frequent regrouping. Riders must be at least 14 years old but do NOT have to be MCC members to participate.
Casco Bay Bicycle Club – Weekly Saturday Ride
Departs 9:00 AM May through September; 10:00 AM in October (please consult our calendar: no rides when some other club rides are scheduled…such as York Beaches or Fryeburg Frolic). Kennebec Valley Bicycle Club – Acorns and Ales
A tour over the hills and hollows of Skowhegan, Canaan, and Hinckley, with an optional tour of a local brewery. Meet at the Oak Pond Brewery on Oak Pond Road in Skowhegan.
KVBC Biking with the Alewives
A scenic tour along the Sebasticook River to the Benton Dam timed to the historic Alewife spring run. Meet at the Vassalboro Elementary School on Webber Pond Road.
Ride of Silence
Ride of Silence to honor those who have been injured or killed. To raise awareness of cyclists and ask that we share the road. Leave from Brunswick Gazebo 7 pm. Armbands provided, lights recommended. 10 MPH
York Harbor Ride
Join the Merrymeeting Wheelers for a York Harbor ride. Ride share/caravan from Brunswick at 8:00am to York Harbor by 9:30am. Ride north along the coast. PVC Saturday Morning Ride (SMR)
The PVC SMR is a weekly club ride, open to all with competent group riding skills. The ride is about 30 miles long, departing from Cyclemania and goes throughout South Portland and Cape Elizabeth to Prouts Neck and back along the shore. It’s mostly rolling to flat terrain.
