Women’s Ride Summer Series
June 29, 2022 @ 5:15 pm
Every other Wednesday, we will be a leading a series of free, laid-back women’s group rides. Centering all FTWN-B—femme, transgender, women, non-binary, and anyone else who identifies as a woman—these 6-14 mile rides are laid back, featuring some of the most rideable road and trail routes in the surrounding Portland area.
What do our group rides entail? The group will always stick together, and have a leader and a sweep. These are not club rides! They are designed for women+ new-ish to group rides, or those who just like to take in the sights while biking. Expect light to rolling hills only, and travel at about 10 mph. Each ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.
Registration is free but space is limited!
The ride leaves promptly at 5:30 p.m from Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth (1000 Shore Rd.) and heads down Rt 77 to Two Lights Park and back, approx. 13 miles round trip. Free parking is available in the overflow lot at Fort Williams.
Please try to arrive no later than 5:15. In case of inclement weather, check your email, as the event may change to an indoor fix-a-flat workshop held at the BCM office.
