Ride Aroostook

Ride Aroostook is a two day bicycle tour/fundraiser for children with Type 1 Diabetes that showcases the beauty of Aroostook County’s potato fields in blossom, Amish country, fields of grain, windmills of Mars Hill, and wonderful scenic vistas. The Ride benefits ‘Camp Adventure’ which is a summer camp that focuses on developing healthy outdoor activity habits for children ages 12 – 17 with Type 1 Diabetes in a safe and professionally monitored setting .
Based at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, the Ride is a fully-supported clover leaf design of 4 loops, 2 each day, approximately 30 miles each, with shorter options available as well as a century option on Saturday. Check in and registration are Friday evening July 10th and Saturday morning July 11th. Minimum fundraising donations of $150, plus a registration fee of $50, provide a Fri night reception, breakfast/lunch on Sat/Sun, Sat dinner, and overnight dorm lodging Fri and Sat, all at no extra charge.
