Pedal for Preschoolers

This non-competitive ride is for road cyclists and mountain bikers, and takes you along a crown jewel of Maine Scenic Roadway along The Arnold Trail between Eustis and Coburn Gore. The entire route has paved shoulders, very good road conditions, minimal traffic, GORGEOUS views, and very often moose or other wildlife sightings. There are three suggested distances: 22, 36, or 50 miles round trip, with rest stops at the 11 and 18 mile points. At the 25-mile mark is the Canadian Border and a well stocked convenience store. Bring your passport and you can ride across the Canadian border for the bragging rights of riding in two countries! Snacks, beverages, and route support is provided by volunteers, local first responders, and the Franklin County Sherriff Department. Suggested tax-deductible donations are $30 per person or $45 per immediate family group (under 18 years old must ride with an adult chaperone). All proceeds benefit Early Care and Education Programs serving the Eustis-Carrabassett Valley-Kingfield-New Portland area at Western Maine Center for Children and Maine Mountain Children’s House.
