Orono Great Maine Bike Swap

The Great Maine Bike Swaps offer a great way to buy used bicycles at an affordable price. The Bicycle Coalition provides a consignment-style one-day sale of hundreds of bikes of all kinds: hybrids, road bikes, mountain bikes, children’s bikes, recumbents, BMX and more! Come peruse the inventory and find yourself a new set of wheels to use for recreation, transportation, health, or just plain fun!
Everyone is invited to sell the unused bikes cluttering their garage or basement– the Swap will find them a grateful new owner, and the seller will get a check in the mail within three weeks after the event. Sellers set their own price and have the choice to reduce the price of their bike if it is not sold before 12:30 pm. The Bicycle Coalition of Maine takes a 15% commission on each bike sold to cover the costs of the Swap, and raise funds to continue their work to make Maine better for bicycling and walking.
COSTS:
Bike Sellers pay $3 per bike placed on sales floor if they drop it off on Saturday evening; $5 if they drop off on Sunday morning. This payment includes admission to the Swap.
