Great Maine Bike Swap – USM Gorham Campus

The Great Maine Bike Swap returns, and this year we have TWO Swaps in TWO new locations!

The first 2022 Swap was held on the University of Southern Maine campus in Lewiston on Sunday, April 24. The second Swap will be held on the USM campus in Gorham on Sunday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Great Maine Bike Swap is a consignment-style bike sale hosted by the BCM and USM, that allows people to buy and sell used bicycles. Anyone can sign up to sell their bicycle(s) at the Swap.

Have a bike you’d like to sell? Bikes can be registered for the Gorham Swap now! Click here to get started. Anyone may sell up to 20 bikes, just submit a separate form per bike. The registration fee is $5 per bike, and will be collected during drop-off.

From gently used road bikes to retro cruisers, kids bikes, mountain bikes, gravel-grinders, to the occasional tandem, recumbent, and e-bikes, we’ve seen and sold it all! Not sure what you’re looking for? We have bike fit advisors available who can help you find the best new-to-you bike! A test-ride area complete with mechanics are on-site as well, so you can make sure the bike you’ve chosen is comfortable and in good working order before you take it home.

COVID-19 Policy: ALL attendees age 12 and over must either show proof of full vaccination or show a negative COVID-19 test administered by a testing provider within the last 48 hours (at-home tests will not be accepted) at the Bike Swap, and may be asked to show a matching photo ID. Physical or digital copies of your vaccination card or a negative test result are acceptable.
