Family-friendly urban bicycling class in Orono

Do you ever have questions about how to bike safely with your whole family? Wonder no more! Join the Bicycle Coalition of Maine for a family-friendly community bicycle ride in Orono! The Class will be led by Erik daSilva, Safety Education Manager of Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
When: Tuesday, May 18 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Where: Orono, ME
Who: You and any member of your family who’d like to join.
We’ll review basic equipment checks and learn the ropes of safe bicycle driving, all while exploring local Orono roads & trails. Participants should be capable of riding a gentle 4-mile loop that includes some unpaved trail surfaces. Kiddos in bicycle seats or on tag-a-longs are welcome! Be prepared to stop at the remnants of a homestead, navigate neighborhood streets, pass through the University of Maine, and visit the Bullet Boulder.
