Cranksgiving- Portland

Cranksgiving is a food drive on wheels (bike, trike, scooter, skateboard, etc.) hosted by The Portland Encyclepedia, the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, and Portland Gear Hub. Part ride, part madcap scavenger hunt. All you need is some wheels, a lock, and a bag!
This event (Saturday November 9) is FREE, but you’ll need $15-$20 to purchase food. Donations will support The Westbrook Food Pantry. Registration is NOT required UNLESS you are signing up to borrow one of the BCM’s e-bikes (see below).
We will meet at Portland Gear Hub at 10:30 a.m. and from there pedal around Portland visiting the stops on the list. You can make it a race, or go at your own pace. Visit all the stops or just a couple. At the end, we will meet at Rising Tide Brewing to collect the donations and celebrate each other and the fun of cycling in November. This years ride will be a little shorter making 5 or 6 stops all on peninsula, and we will have more details posted as we get closer to the date.
Costumes encouraged!
We are also offering use of our e-bike fleet again this year! Register here if you would like to try out an e-bike as you travel around town collecting Cranksgiving goods. Only 8 bikes available.
