Women’s Ride Summer Series
August 10, 2022 @ 5:15 pm
Every other Wednesday, we will be a leading a series of free, laid-back women’s group rides. Centering all FTWN-B—femme, transgender, women, non-binary, and anyone else who identifies as a woman—these 6-14 mile rides are laid back, featuring some of the most rideable road and trail routes in the surrounding Portland area.
What do our group rides entail? The group will always stick together, and have a leader and a sweep. These are not club rides! They are designed for women+ new-ish to group rides, or those who just like to take in the sights while biking. Expect light to rolling hills only, and travel at about 10 mph. Each ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.
Registration is free but space is limited!
The ride leaves promptly at 5:30 p.m from the Eastern Trail lot in Scarborough (on Eastern Rd. off of Black Point Rd- turn at Amato’s off of Rt 1), and will be an out and back 10 mile ride on the Eastern Trail. Hybrid or thicker tires are recommended as this part of the trail has some large gravel.
Please try to arrive no later than 5:15. In case of inclement weather, check your email, as the event may change to an indoor fix-a-flat workshop held at the BCM office.
