2021 Champion the Cure Challenge

Each year, thousands of people in our communities come together with a shared purpose. They are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, business owners, healthcare professionals, cancer survivors, students, and many others. What do they have in common? They all believe that Maine people deserve to have world-class cancer care services available as close to home as possible.

The Challenge is the only event in our region whose sole purpose is to support local cancer research and treatment. Every dollar raised supports Northern Light Cancer Care services provided at the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute in Brewer. 

There are numerous activities planned for this event including a run, walk, bike ride, and a special pre-ride speech from the BCM’s own Erik daSilva!

The 2021 Run/Cycle
Date: 8/14/21
Location: Lafayette Family Cancer Institute in Brewer
Registration Fees: Online registration closes at 5 pm on 8/13. Runners may still register on event day from 6:30 to 8 a.m., and bicyclists can register on event day until 6:30 a.m. 
On-Site Check In and Registration: On-site check in and registration begins at 5 a.m.

The 2021 Walk
Date: 8/15/21
Location: Lafayette Family Cancer Institute in Brewer
Registration Fees: Online registration closes at 5 pm on 8/13. Walkers may still register on event day from 6:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
