After a robust stakeholder and public engagement process, the plan makes a strong statement on the importance of active transportation and provides a well-rounded set of recommendations for policies, programs, and infrastructure to improve active transportation in Maine. In our view, the plan could be improved with clear timelines for action, measures for success, and a commitment to increase funding.
