Feb. 10, 2019 (BELFAST, Maine) – The Bicycle Coalition of Maine presented its 2019 Awards during the BikeMaine Kickoff Party held on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the United Farmers Market of Maine in Belfast.
These awards are given to highlight individuals, businesses, and organizations that have gone above and beyond in their efforts to improve walking and/or cycling throughout the state. Similar to many years past, these awards are recognizing excellence in advocacy, leadership, outreach, education, public service, volunteerism, and love of the sport.

The Volunteer of the Year Award Presented to: Chuck McMahan
The Business for Better Bicycling Award Presented to: David Auclair, Auclair Cycle & Ski
The Bicycle Coalition of Maine is honored to present the 2019 Awards to these deserving recipients and appreciates all they have done to make Maine better for biking and walking. It is alongside dedicated individuals, businesses, and organizations like these that the Coalition is able to continue to improve biking and walking conditions for locals and visitors alike throughout the state of Maine.
